Darren Aronofsky to Reboot Robocop Film Franchise + The Fighter

Darren Aronofsky director of such classics as Pi and Requiem for a Dream, it set to helm the new Robocop Film. This should prove very interesting as his films are some of the darkest and disturbing and to take a leap into a more mainstream action thriller. MGM Studios is eyeing a 2010 release for the film. Get ready to do it all again and thank you for your cooperation.

Before all this, Mr. Aronofsky will be releasing his long anticipated film 'The Fighter' next year which stars Brad Pitt and Mark Wahlberg. The Fighter, is a drama about boxer "Irish" Micky Ward's unlikely road to the world light welterweight title. His Rocky-like rise was shepherded by half-brother Dicky, a boxer-turned-trainer who rebounded in life after nearly being KO'd by drugs and crime.
