Well its been over 12 years since the Seattle based Grunge act have come out with any new material. Word is from their MySpace blog that the writing for the new album is drawing closer to a conclusion and recording is about to begin after this show stop with the Deftones, who themselves are feverishly working on a new record. Alice in Chains is wrapping up the writing phase for their forthcoming album. Before they begin recording, the guys will take a jaunt to Peoria, AZ to join their good friends Deftones at KUPD's End of Summer Scorcher on September 20th. The event will take place at the Peoria Sports Complex and tickets go on sale this Saturday, AUG 2nd at all local AZ Club Tattoo locations.
